Parent's Visit

My parents came last weekend and helped us do all sorts of things for our new house! We pick out some furniture, fixed the door bell, repaired some minor plumbing issues and a handful of other miscellaneous projects!

These are the two sets of furniture we decided to buy...

A set similar to this set will go in our family room (including the enormous ottoman)...

A set similar to this will go in the front room!

And last but not least, this is the table for the small nook.

We are so grateful to have such a handy dad and a mom with great taste!! We are also so grateful that they walked over 4 hours through numerous furniture stores just for us.

Baby Blanket

I have been working on this rag quilt for Korver, my sister's baby, for nearly a year. I was so close to being finished in March of this year and my sewing machine broke!! I was pretty disappointed! But... many months after the fact, I was able to borrow my mom's sewing machine to finish it!

Here it is...

And even more rewarding, here Korver is sleeping with it! My hope is that it will become his favorite blankey!

Another Missionary!

My family is sending out another missionary! We will have two out at the same time within a relatively short distance from each other. Todd is in the Richmond, Virginia mission and Josh left for the Baltimore, Maryland mission today! They are fantastic examples!!!

Sheri made these "name badge" cookies for the family dinner. They turned out really cute!

Here is Josh. I could not get him to smile... he insisted on pulling this silly face.

Saturday morning we woke up to this! Snow in October - I guess it is not as unusual as snow in June.

This one was too fun not to post. This is Jeff, Ian and Brandie at the family dinner! They are fun!!

Reunion of Friends!

Sol had the opportunity to see some friends of ours (from Dubuque, Iowa) at the NACAC conference in Seattle! They worked together at Clarke College for two and a half years, but they will be our friends forever! Here is a picture of them 4 years ago...

... and here are pictures of them in mid-September! They never missed a beat!!

This is a picture of my Beta Alpha Psi accounting group participating in a community service project back in April of 2007. As an organization we are required to do a certain number of community service hours each semester and this is us cleaning up one of Pullman's parks!

New House!!

We are buying a house!! After much saving, Sol and I have put an offer on a house. We are so excited and will be homeowners later this month. I think this officially makes us permanent Pullman people. :D

New Hair Cut

I decided to cut my hair! The hair cut technically is over a week old, but Sunday, September 14th was the big debut because I don't see too many people during the week.

Most importantly, I wanted to share with my family that doesn't get to see me everyday!
