Sol had several coworkers take vacations to destinations with nice beaches. He joked that he was going to Iowa to play on their sandy beaches. Here are some of the pictures of the "Beaches."

We even caught some other beach goers. Personally, it was way to cold to be walking around like this! I think they were getting an early start on their tans.

We wanted a picture of us, and Mark caught us being silly.

I will have to say that these beaches aren't highly sought after destinations like Hawaii, California or Florida - but it was the best we could do in Iowa!








It was difficult to know the stories behind all the homes, but this one appears to have been stripped of everything. It is hard to know if the owner was trying to dry it out before rebuilding or if they are in the process of tearing it down.







We got our kitchen table!!! We didn't realize we would have to put it together, but this is a picture of the process. Shortly after we started, we realized one of the chair pieces was not shipped with the table. We put the table together as much as we could and waited for the additional piece to be delivered.



Here is a picture to give you an idea of how much snow we got in the short period of time. I don't know if you can tell, but we have to shovel approximately 1 1/2 times more than our original driveway because we live in a
We have such an awesome view! There were some days we weren't sure whether or not we could get out of our neighborhood due to drifting, so we would bundle up, and walk down the road to see what it looked like. Here are a few picture of the area on some of our walks!
